'Branding = emotional velcro." Wish I could attribute the quote. He/she deserves a high five, at the very least. A writer wants readers emotionally velcro-ed to their writing. When the next book comes out, readers so trust the author, they buy the book without a thought. That's the value of branding. The reader doesn't even read the back cover blurb. The contract between reader and writer is already inked. Ohhhh, working to attain that kind of emotional velcro branding. How long will it take?
Returning to the joy and agony of writing. Stories waiting their screen and ink time.
